About this Event

SCLAA has 4 Exclusive Places Available for Members for this Partner Exclusive Master Class

Experience has demonstrated that up to 50% of all the problems that occur in any given process can be solved at the operator level of that process provided they know they are authorised to solve the problem and are given the skills to solve the problem. Many times, problems are tackled at the symptom level thus the counter measures taken are not effective and the problem keeps coming back.

To avoid this, Root Cause Analysis is a simple and accessible tool which allows for disciplined and structured problem solving within any area of the business. It also establishes a base line of data and facts for the justified implementation of change. The workshop aims to take participating learners through the following:

  • Why use Root Cause Analysis
  • What is Root Cause Analysis?
  • How to use RCA in the practical solving of problems
  • The “Fishbone” and “5 Whys” methodologies
  • Do’s and Don’ts in utilising RCA for problem solving
